Caring for Your Baby's Delicate Skin

A baby's skin is thin, delicate and fragile, and less is always more when it comes to caring for your baby's skin.

Baby

Because newborn and baby skin is fragile, their immune system is too.

Baby skin can be easily irritated by chemicals, fragrances, dyes on clothing and skincare products that contain artificial colours, fragrance, and synthetic ingredients.

When it comes to caring for your baby's skin, use the less is more rule.

Don't over wash or bathe.

We recommend using the Biologi Microfibre Cloth, very simply on its own instead of soaps or baby wash that could dry and irritate delicate skin.

Only use calming and soothing skincare on dry areas, chafing, irritation, or nappy rash.

We recommend patch testing all skincare before use.

Biologi Bf Restore Face & Body Serum

As a baby's skin is delicate, thinner, and more fragile than adult skin, avoid the use of Biologi products on babies under 2 years of age.

Whilst many of our customers have had seen incredible results using our Bf Restore Face & Body serum on babies under 2 years of age, we recommend performing a patch test on all babies and children prior to using any new product and if unsure, we suggest you seek professional medical advice.

*A baby is defined as an infant from birth to 12 months.

Keep out of the sun and cover babies' skin with light cotton clothing, wraps and a hat.

Baby wearing protective clothing

Babies have highly absorptive skin so minimise applying a sunscreen under 6 months of age.

Choose a physical over chemical sunscreen.

Choose a physical over chemical sunscreen and always patch test first. Look for a gentle, skin-friendly formula suitable for delicate baby skin.

Always wash new baby clothes prior to wearing with a gentle non-fragrance washing liquid.

Sometimes, babies may have pimples or milia from the mother's hormones that have been transferred. The best treatment is no treatment — leave them alone, they will disappear on their own.
